What's the difference between Unker's Therapeutic Rub and Unker's Therapeutic Spray?
Unker’s Therapeutic Rub is the original product formula made with a USP Grade Snow White Petrolatum Base, that helps temporarily relieve muscle aches, joint pains, sinus pressure, colds, head aches, sore throats and coughs.
Unker’s Therapeutic Spray is a higher concentration of the formula in a liquid base without Petrolatum, for faster absorption and deeper penetration. In addition to the spray, this formula also comes in a roll-on applicator for on-the-go convenience.
Customers enjoy having a preference over which product format to use depending upon the type and location of the pain and symptom. Our Rub and Spray contain the same pure essential oils based on the original Unker’s formula.
How long has Unker's been around?
The original Unker's formula has been around since the early 1900's. In 1982, the original Unker's Rub formula was restored and the company has been expanding ever since. Over the years we've changed our labels, but not our recipes.
Where is Unker's made?
Unker's is proudly manufactured in the United States! Upton, Wyoming to be exact.
Is Unker's animal cruelty free?
Yes! Unker's does not test on animals.
Can I use Unker's on my child?
We recommend consulting with a physician for use on children under the age of 12.
Can I use Unker's if I'm pregnant?
We recommend consulting with a physician. The essentials oils of wintergreen, camphor, and pine needle can be considered toxic when pregnant.
Can I use Unker's on my pets and livestock?
For larger animals and livestock, our products help relieve pain and soreness from muscles aches, tendon stiffness, arthritis, cuts and joint pain. Our dairy farm customers have said they use our Unker's Rub on cow udders, and on the bridge of livestock’s nose it keeps flies away.
Consult with your veterinarian before using on smaller animals like dogs or cats. While 100% natural, essential oils like camphor and wintergreen are considered toxic to smaller pets.
Can I use Unker's if it expired?
While our customers have stated they have used Unker's beyond the expiration date, the essential oils may weaken or lose effectiveness, so you may or may not notice a difference in the strength of the product.
Will Unker's interfere with my medications?
Customers with known topical allergies, pregnant, or unsure about reactions with medications, should consult with a physician before using Unker's.
